Santa Claus will pay a special visit here on Dec. 3 joining the town’s annual Christmas parade organized by the Fergus Lions, Optimist and Kinsmen service clubs.
This year’s theme is the Music and of Magic of Christmas.
Floats and walking groups will assemble at the A.O. Smith parking lot, 599 Hill St. W. starting at 12:30pm.
The parade will begin at 1:30pm as it makes its way to Beatty Line heading south to St Andrew St. W.
The parade will then travel along St Andrew St. W. through the downtown core turning right on St David St. S. to Albert St. where the parade groups will disperse.
Along the parade route, Centre Wellington Food Bank personnel will be collecting nonperishable food items.
Volunteers will also collect new toys for the Christmas Hamper program which will be placed in a vehicle provided by Reliable Motors.
Santa has asked post office staff to help him out by collecting letters on his behalf along the parade route.
Santa wants to remind all the girls and boys to put a return address on the envelop so that he can write back to them.
