Wellington County council saluted a number of volunteers on May 26 for their long service.
Six people received their 25 year pins:
– Annette Baker, Janice Grills, Karen Merrick, and Darlene Seymore, all in nursing at Wellington Terrace;
– Colleen Cudney, life enrichment, Wellington Terrace; and
– Deborah Turchet, in land division.
Sheila Kunderman, of Environmental Services, received a 15 year plaque.
There were a number of other employees who were recognized for their long service. Cynthia Machin, of nutrition services at Wellington Terrace, and Shirley Madden, in housing with social services, have each served 30 years.
A number of employees have reached 20 years. They include;
– Floriana Macerollo, social services;
– Jill Mainland, Wellington Terrace;
– Gord Ough, county engineer;
– Pat Thomson, social services;
Sandra Trask, Wellington Terrace;
– Stephen Walmsley, social services; and
– Paul Zaludek, social services.
Those who have completed ten years with the county are:
– Elysia DeLaurentis, museum and archives;
– Craig Dyer, county treasurer;
– Gwendolyn Goulet, Erin library;
– Eileen Grattan, social services;
– Meintje (Minnie) Hansma, Wellington Terrace;
– Judy Howard, Fergus library;
– Andrea Lawson, Director of Human Resources;
– Leah McLeod, Hillsburgh library;
– Tara Rigby, Wellington Terrace; and
– Carolyn Roy, treasury department.
