FERGUS – The Emmanuel Christian High School (ECHS) is running a car wash fundraiser on June 4 at their 680 Tower Street South location from 10am-2pm. All funds raised are going to Groves Memorial Community Hospital.
“Groves Hospital Foundation is so thankful for the ongoing support of our local schools, like Emmanuel Christian High School,” said Groves Hospital Foundation Executive Director Lori Arsenault in an email to the Advertiser.
“This weekend will mark the students’ third Car Wash in support of Groves, since their opening in 2016.
“ECHS has raised over $8,400 to fund vital equipment at Groves Hospital and we are very grateful that they have chosen us as the recipients of their fundraising car wash this weekend as well.”
The event has been organized by the school’s student council, and will be their first fundraiser since being back in-person.
While it has been some time, fundraising for Groves is something the school has done in the past, detailed student council member Joelle Vanleeuwen.
She added that if you are unable to attend there is a way to donate to Groves online at grovesfoundation.com/ways-to-give.
