ELORA – Students from St. Mary Catholic School in Elora set off on their Terry Fox Run Sept. 27. St. Mary’s principle Michele Hasson announced before the run that the school had managed to raise $2,040 for cancer research and treatment. Kindergarten classes remained on school property while Grades 1 to 8 walked the streets and the local trail system.
Students used the Bissell Park pedestrian bridge to cross the Grand River on their way to the Elora Cataract Trail. Many students adorned their shirts with stickers featuring an image of Terry Fox and a space where they could print the name of someone in whose honour they were taking part.
