An Elora woman is in "grave" condition and an Arthur man charged with impaired driving after an early morning crash here.

On Dec. 9 at about 4:30am emergency crews responded to single-vehicle crash on Sideroad 9 near 6th Line south of Belwood.

Wellington OPP officials say a sedan lost control, left the road and crashed, seriously injuring a passenger.

The driver, Jeffrey C.A. McDougall, 30, of Arthur, was charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm and driving with more than 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood in his system causing bodily harm.

He is to appear in Guelph court on Jan. 5. His licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle will be impounded for seven days.
