The 1st Elora Scout Group is excited to announce it is moving to St. Mary Catholic School.
Officials say the move means the group will have plenty of room for new members starting in September.
The school, located at 251 Irvine Street in Elora, will allow for expansion of Beavers (ages 5 to 7), Cubs (ages 8 to 10) and Scout sections (ages 11 to 14-plus).
“We have been offering great programs for years but now we have the space and facility to encourage growth,” said group commissioner, Shawn Jones.
“Elora Scouts have been part of the community with a great history for several generations and this move allows us to encourage more youth to participate.”
The Elora Scout Group is offering a fall leisure show and registration night on Aug. 28 at the Elora Community Centre from 6 to 8:30pm.
