Elora resident Tony McManus and his partner Beppe Gambetta have been nominated for two Canadian Folk Music Awards.
The nominations were announced at the second annual National Strum held at Toronto City Hall on Sept. 21 to celebrate and honour this year’s nominees for the Canadian Folk Music Awards.
Overall, 72 artists and groups were announced as nominees in 19 categories who hail from 10 provinces and two territories in Canada.
McManus and Gambetta were nominated for instrumental group of the year and world group of the year for Round Trip.
The Canadian Folk Music Awards are scheduled for Dec. 2 to 3 in Toronto.
