ELORA – The Elora Fergus Studio Tour is a great way not only to see art, but to see it in the studio where it was created, officials say.
The 2022 Elora Fergus Studio Tour will be held over two weekends: Sept. 24 to 25 and Oct. 1 to 2, from 10am to 5pm. The studio tour is completely free of charge.
“Studio visits never disappoint,” officials say.
“Enjoy the self-guided tour by meeting the 35 remarkable artists in their private studios, and learn about their passion for art.”
There is something for everyone – paintings in different mediums, including watercolour, oils, mixed media, and acrylics; hand-crafted wood objects and art forms; glassworks; metal sculptures; artistic jewelry; handwoven tapestries, fibre and weaving; clay and pottery objects and ceramic sculptures.
Brochures with maps and information about each artist are available at the centre.
Attendees can also visit the website www.elorafergusstudiotour.com to plan their visit to Elora, Salem, Fergus, and the surrounding countryside.
“The safety of our artists and visitors is our number one priority,” officials say.
Participating studios may have restrictions, such as wearing a mask or limiting the number in a studio at one time; guidelines will be posted at their studio entrance.
