Elora Farmers”™ Market opens April 30 at Bissell Park

The Elora Farmers’ Market is starting its 11th season outdoors in beautiful Bissell Park this Saturday, April 30.

Organizers state, “We’ll have many wonderful returning vendors and some great new ones.  Some News growers will start later in the season as their produce comes in.”

Davy Wilcox, a well-known local folk musician, will be back to market this Saturday for entertainment. Of course, Esmerelda, the market mascot will be there too.

The vision for the market remains the same:    A true farmers’ market, one where, every Saturday, people can find local, sustainably grown produce, meats, cheeses, baking and preserves, in a friendly space.

Surrounded by some of the best farmland, growers and producers in the province, the Elora Farmers’ Market is often considered the prettiest farmers’ market in Ontario, state organizers.

“The warmth and energy of the market vendors and riverside setting add to the pleasure of finding the best in local fare.”

On Saturday mornings, Bissell Park is the place to be: an idyllic riverside setting lined with trees, a board walk, places to fish and plenty of room to play, right in the heart of the village.

When people come to the Elora Farmers’ Market, they find great local foods, treats and each other too.

“The market is a true community hub and our customers’ energy is what makes the market so special,” state organizers.

The market operates Saturdays from 9am to 1pm from April 30 through to October. For more informationvisit www.elorafarmersmarket.com or email: eloraframersmarket@gmail.com.
