ELORA – The Elora Community Theatre’s recent show Mom’s Gift by Phil Olson and directed by Stan Jensen has been selected to compete in the Western Ontario Drama League (WODL) Festival.
The festival will be held at the Cambridge Arts Theatre from March 16 to 20.
Mom’s Gift will be performed on March 20.
The WODL was established by D. Park Jamieson in 1932 to unite community theatre groups in Western Ontario.
The drama league covers an area from Burlington west to Sarnia and Welland, and north to Tobermory.
WODL has over two dozen member groups.
Five theatre groups from the region have been selected after being adjudicated from September to February and will be competing at the Festival in Cambridge.
A gala will be held on March 21 to announce the winners and who will be competing at the provincial Theatre Ontario Festival to be held in Sault Ste. Marie.
