Elora Centre for the Arts hosting exclusive Artcetera gala

The Elora Centre for the Arts will host a gala fundraising event on May 10:  Artcetera 2014, An Evening With Art.

Instead of the three-day auction hosted in the past, this year Artcetera is taking a fresh approach and the result is creating a buzz of excitement in the community, officials state.

The 75 artists who have donated their time, talent and work to An Evening with Art, are also looking forward to the new event.

Joel Masewich, Jo-Anne Harder, Phil Irish, Tanya Zaryski, Eileen MacArthur, Rick Worthington, Hubert Haisock, and Grace Perry are just a few of the contributors this year.

The full list, along with artist bios and examples of their work can be viewed on the Centre’s website: www.eloracentreforthearts.ca.

Tickets to the event are now available for purchase, and not only will guests be able to  support the Centre, but also are invited to enjoy a gourmet reception provided by Platters Catering with live music from the Ernie Kalwa Trio setting the mood.

Ticket holders are also guaranteed to take home one of the artworks, to be chosen in a fun elimination draw.

A scotch-tasting bar will also be available, hosted by John Kissick. There will be a photo booth with takeaway prints, and a silent auction table. There will be only a few select items up for auction this year, carefully chosen by the centre’s volunteers, so their advice is to bid carefully. Some surprise guests may also make an appearance.

Upon arrival, guests will be offered the opportunity to participate in the popular Paint Brush Game, with the winner getting their first pick of the available art.

Admission to Artcetera, An Evening with Art is $250 for two people. The price of the ticket includes two free drinks, one for each, food, photo booth prints, and an original work of art.

To support the Elora Centre for the Arts by purchasing a ticket to Artcetera contact the centre by e-mail: artcetera@eloracentreforthearts.ca or by telephoning 519-846-9698.

There are only 75 tickets available.
