The 29th annual Elora Book Sale is taking place on the first weekend of May at the Elora Curling Club on David Street West.
A fundraiser for the Elora Festival and Singers, the book sale draws huge crowds from the community and surrounding areas.
Visitors can browse through more than 60,000 gently-read, affordable books set out in dozens of well-labelled categories, including art, history, gardening, cooking, science, poetry, classics and more.
There’s a collector’s corner, a large children’s section, and lots of games, DVDs, LPs, CDs and sheet music.
This year’s event begins on May 5 from 5 to 9pm. Admission is $5 and includes a voucher redeemable in books on Sunday in the afternoon
The sale continues on May 6 from 9:30am to 5pm with free admission and on May 7 from 9:30am to 4pm with free admission.
“This year’s book donations have been excellent; volunteers thank everyone who donated so generously, leaving books in the Book Depot shed at 380 St. Andrew St. West in Fergus (side entrance),” organizers stated.
