Elora en Plein Air – a Grand River painting festival – is a four-day event that will run from May 17 to 20.
Elora is a heritage village which overlooks the gorges of the Grand and Irvine rivers.
The historic town of Fergus is just upriver and the entire area is surrounded by a rural landscape.
“For those not painting, there is so much to see and do throughout our region, you will not be bored!” organizers say.
There will be artists coming from across Canada and the U.S. to participate in this year’s event.
The festival includes three days for artists to paint outdoors from Thursday to Saturday followed by an Show and Sale of the art on May 20 from 1 to 5pm.
The show includes presentations to artists for top prize awards. The festival headquarters and Show and Sale will be at the Elora Centre for the Arts.
During the festival there will be lots of entertainment to be found throughout Fergus and Elora and social events available to participants and other visitors, including a Film on a Plate evening offered by Sensational Elora at the Gorge Cinema.
