ELMIRA – Elmira Theatre Company presents a poignant and true drama this spring.
Tuesdays with Morrie is directed by Susan Garner and produced by Bev Dietrich and it tells the story of Mitch Albom, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor.
Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch happens to catch Morrie’s appearance on a television news program and learns that his old professor is battling ALS.
Mitch is reunited with Morrie and what starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life.
Tuesdays With Morrie will be presented April 28 to May 13 at the Elmira Theatre.
All the shows begin at 8pm except the Sunday matinees, which start at 2pm.
The theatre urges patrons to wear masks in the audience although it is not required. Seating is in rows with comfortable spacing between them.
