With still over half a year to go, it seems Wellington North’s municipal council race is changing on a week-by-week basis.
Janice Lewis has filed for mayor, which automatically withdraws her nomination filing for the Ward 3 council seat.
That marks the beginning of a three-way race between Lewis, incumbent Mayor Mike Broomhead and councillor Ross Chaulk.
The withdrawal Lewis’ name from the council ward position, leaves each of the four wards with a single candidate.
