Guelph-Eramosa councillors were paid about $112,196 in remuneration and $10,277 in expenses last year.
At the March 6 council meeting director of finance Linda Cheyne presented an annual report to council showing council remuneration, expenses and attendance records for last year. The report is required under the Municipal Act.
Mayor Chris White received a base salary of $16,059 last year, plus $20,423 for meetings, $2,308 in mileage and travel and $2 for conference, meals and parking, for a total of $38,792.
The totals for councillors were:
– David Wolk: base $13,757, meetings $8,337, mileage and travel $2,896, conference, meals and parking $27, for a total of $25,018;
– Corey Woods: base $13,757, meetings $6,260, mileage and travel $1,089, conference, meals and parking $979, total $22,084;
– Mark Bouwmeester: base $13,757, meetings $3,522, mileage and travel $438, conference, meals and parking $1,022, total $18,300; and
– Louise Marshall: base $13,757, meetings $2,507, mileage and travel $670, conference, meals and parking $848, total $17,781.
Neither White nor Woods missed a regular council or committee meeting for 2016. Bouwmeester and Wolk each missed one council meeting. Marshall missed two strategic planning meetings, an economic development meeting and council meeting.
