HARRISTON – Electric vehicle (EV) operators now have the opportunity for a quick recharge at a vehicle dealership here. Leslie Motors held a grand opening for two new level three EV charging stations at its Elora Street Ford dealership on April 6.
Rona employee dead after being hit by customer’s vehicle
ELORA – A Rona employee is dead after being hit by a vehicle while at work on Saturday. Emergency crews were called to the business, located on Wellington Road 18 across from the Elora Quarry, at about 3:15pm.
Emergency department closing again at Louise Marshall Hospital
MOUNT FOREST – For the 10th time since last summer, the emergency department at Louise Marshall Hospital is closing for a portion of the weekend. Due to a staffing shortage, the department will close on April 6 (Saturday) at 7pm and reopen on April 7 (Sunday) at 7am.
UGDSB not part of lawsuit against social media giants
WELLINGTON COUNTY – Five Ontario school boards are suing social media giants for over $4 billion in damages. The Upper Grand District School Board and Wellington Catholic District School Board are currently not part of the lawsuits.
GRCA installing warning booms and buoys at dams
WELLINGTON COUNTY – The Grand River Conservation Authority will be installing warning booms or buoys upstream of dams to alert paddlers, anglers and boaters to stay away.
