EDEN MILLS – There will be a free public workshop on Community Supported Agriculture here on Oct. 3 from 10 am to noon, at the Eden Mills community hall.
The workshop is the first of several on the subject of food. Food production and distribution are intertwined with carbon emissions, and Eden Mills is the first community in Canada attempting to become carbon neutral. The workshops will show people can support local farmers, live more healthily, and lower carbon emissions. Learn about the rising trend of community supported agriculture (CSA).
Bryan Dyck, of Whole Circle Farms (of Rockwood) will be sharing the benefits (and potential issues) of belonging to a CSA farm.

Another conservation workshop in Eden Mills will take place with Don Eaton on Nov, 7 from 10am to noon at the Eden Mills community hall.
Anyone who attended the Home Energy Conservation Workshop last year will remember Eaton, the former Executive Director of the Elora Centre for Environmental Excellence.
