FERGIS – The Elora Community Theatre is kicking off 48 years of community theatre in Centre Wellington in December.
Yes Virginia There is a Santa Claus

The theatre company kicks off the Christmas season with a title to tickle everyone’s hearts, officials say.
In 1897, a young girl wrote to the New York Sun asking whether Santa Claus truly existed. The paper’s response written by Francis P. Church, has become a beloved holiday literary tradition.
Mom’s Gift
Mom’s Gift by Phil Olson and directed by Stan Jensen will take place Feb. 14 to 16 and 21 to 23.
Escape from the cold, winter temperatures with this heart loving and warm family story.
Mom has been dead for 11 months and shows up at her husband’s birthday party – a ghost with a mission.
Like Clarence in It’s a wonderful Life, Mom has to accomplish a task to earn her wings.
Only what the task is, is a mystery.
Little House on the Prarie
Little House on the Prairie with music by Rachel Portman, lyrics by Donna DiNovelli and directed by Acey Kaspar will be on stage May 1 to 3 and 8 to 10.

It tells the story of their struggle to keep their land claim.
In story, song and dance, the audience will see the Ingalls suffering the hardships of winter blizzards and prairie fires as well as rejoicing in the settlement of their new home, land and town.
