A delicious family tradition continues at James McQueen Public School on March 28.
The Easter Bunny breakfast here is turning 20 – 20 years of pancakes, prizes and hoppiness with the Easter Bunny.
Each year, the school hosts this Easter extravaganza for the whole community to enjoy.
It may still be cold outside but there’s enough food and fun inside to warm the heart and feed the family.
The March 28 event runs from 9am to 11am on Saturday March 28 with all you can eat pancakes (gluten free option also available) – courtesy of Fraberts’ kitchen – followed up with some fruit, juice and coffee.
Activities include face painting, penny auction, guessing tables for kids and a silent auction.
With auction items ranging from fashion to fine dining to photo sessions, passes to the Fergus Truck Show, Scottish Festival & Highland Games and Canada’s Wonderland, Toronto Raptors tickets and baked goods.
And of course, keep your eyes open for the Easter Bunny himself – he’s sure to be hopping around.
Operated by the school council, proceeds are distributed between the school and wider school community – wherever there is a need. “
It’s a wonderful way to open the school up to the whole community”, says Kimberly Saunders, school council co-chair and event organizer of the event.
“Many people have been coming here for years, supporting the event and its community spirit. Local merchants donate generously each year, and for that we are very grateful.”
Admission is $3 per person or $10 per family. So join us for this annual Rite of Spring where a little really does go a long way.
