WELLINGTON COUNTY – Mike Duhacek did not walk alone through Arthur on Tuesday when he began day four of his seven-day, 212km “Help Me Bury Cancer” campaign to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.
“The response I’ve had from small towns has been phenomenal,” he said.
“People stick their heads out of car windows yelling “Go Mike go! It’s just been amazing!”
Duhacek arrived in Arthur on Monday night, after pulling his 220-pound sled from Mount Forest.
He planned to arrive in Elora on Tuesday night and in Aberfoyle on Wednesday evening, and is expected to reach his final destination in Burlington on Friday.
