The colours and shapes of waterfowl are always eye catching.
The Arboretum at the University of Guelph is holding a duck workshop, on March 31 from 9am to 4pm to help participants identify 24 duck species found in Ontario.
Through a variety of hands-on activities they will learn about plumage, flight identification, breeding displays, and migration. Ideas on enhancing habitat for nesting ducks will also be discussed. The Arboretum’s naturalist, Chris Earley, will lead the workshop.
The fee is $75 and the registration deadline is March 17. For more information or to register call The Arboretum at 824-4120 extension 52358.
