HANOVER – The show Drinking Habits by Tom Smith, presented at the Hanover Civic Theatre, closed on May 5 after five previous shows, to rousing applause from the audience.
All of the shows featured standing ovations and audiences roared with laughter at the story being told and the surprising ending.
Organizers want to thank the Hanover Lions Club for hosting the social time on May 3 and for operating the refreshment table “with their delicious cookies” for all of the other shows.
“Additional applause goes to the advertisers and sponsors, as well as the audiences, for enabling the Hanover Community Players to once again present the efforts of their completely volunteer organization,” said show officials in a press release.
“Times are tough right now but all of them came through for Hanover Community Players (HCP).
Through the $1 per adult ticket sold donation program, HCP is able to donate an extra $867 to the local food bank.
The Sound of Music by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein will open Nov. 29 and run for a further seven shows.
