LISTOWEL 3 BETHEL 2
A scramble at the net ended with Listowel claiming an early lead. Brad Gratz scored the goal, assisted by Ben Jantzi and Trevor Kuepfer.
Bethel stormed back to tie the game. Brandon Wideman set up Matt Martin as he hit the blue line. Martin blasted a rising slap shot for the goal.
Listowel surged back to regain the lead before the period ended. Kuepfer scored, assisted by Mike Gingrich.
Bethel was rewarded in the third with a goal. A hard shot by Tom Schuurmans slipped the puck into the net, assisted by Tyler Holland.
Listowel stormed back again to regain the lead. Zack Gingrich bounced the puck off the goalie’s pads and Josh Shantz buried the rebound. Travis Shantz assisted.
Bethel pulled their net-minder in the final minute but Listowel held on to win.
DRAYTON 9 MISSIONARY 2
Although Missionary scored the opening goal, it was all Drayton after that. Drayton scored four goals in the first, a pair in the second, and three more in the third.
Eric Deckers and Jessie Hoekstra each scored twice and had three assists. Rob DeWeerd had two goals; Brandon Rumph had a goal and an assist; Darrin Mohle and Colton Hoekstra had two assists.
Single goals were scored by Herman Mulder and Aaron Keunan.
Missionary scored both goals in the first period. Matt Burnett and Dylan Bults scored, assisted by Devin McGuire.
FLORADALE 2 COMMUNITY 1
A quick wrist shot by Kevin Gingrich gave Community an early lead. Kyle Wideman assisted.
The lead held through the second but disappeared early in the third. A snap shot by Ryan Martin gave Floradale the tying goal, assisted by Andrew and Javan Martin.
With the game tied 1-1 Floradale pressed in and was rewarded with the go-ahead goal midway through the third. A quick pass by Nick Martin gave Ryan Martin the winning goal.
