Drayton Rotary Car Show brings automobile enthusiasts to municipal parking lot

This electric car, owned by Gilles Belec and built on a golf cart frame, had the attention of many. Belec built the body himself.

Rotary Club of Drayton treasurer Raymond Ash helped direct cars and attendees.

Local artist Justin Martin sang as attendees looked at vehicles.

Carol Anne and Peter Straus brought their 1950 Plymouth Special Deluxe vehicle to the show, marking the car’s first outing with the pair.

Howard and Marv Gingrich brought their 1994 and 1997 Mercedes Benz vehicles to the show together. Having both cars side-by-side for the first time was a special moment for the siblings.

DRAYTON – The Drayton Rotary Car Show was held at the municipal parking lot on June 3, and will continue on the first Monday of the month from June to September, from 5 to 8pm. The club partnered with the Mapleton Farmer’s Market, which will be joining on set dates with various venders and booths.
