WELLINGTON COUNTY – A Drayton resident faces four counts of sexual assault involving multiple victims under the age of 16.
In February, Wellington County OPP began an investigation into allegations of sexual assaults in Mapleton and Minto.
“The sexual assaults were reported to have been committed in 2021 by a young person against multiple young persons,” police stated in a press release.
“The subject of the complaint was known to each victim.”
An 18-year-old resident of Drayton was charged with four counts of sexual assault on a person under 16.
The accused is to appear in Guelph youth court at a later date.
