Drayton claimed the only goal in the first period to begin to set up the win. Eric Decker took the set up pass from Aaron Keunan and scored the goal.
Drayton added two more unanswered goals in the second period. Decker and Keunan repeated their feat for another goal, then Kuenan added his own goal in the dying seconds of the period. Brandon Rumph assisted on the goal.
Listowel opened the third with a goal but Drayton responded to ensure the victory. Curtis Wagler scored for Listowel, assisted by Travis Kuepfer. Rob DeWeerd scored for Drayton, assisted by Marck Scholten and Read Shantz.
FLORADALE 8 MISSIONARY 1
Floradale left no question in determining who would claim this win. Two goals in the first and three more goals in each of the remaining two periods produced a convincing victory. Missionary managed a lone goal in the second period.
Javon Martin led the Floradale offence with four goals and an assist. Braedon Gingrich added a pair of goals and an assist, and Corey Wideman had a goal and an assist.
The remaining goal for Floradale was scored by Willis Martin, who also assisted on two others. Additional assists were earned by Josh Brohman, Greg Martin, Nick Martin and Tim Martin.
It was left to Dustin Bults, the league leading scorer, to put Missionary on the scoreboard. The Bults goal was assisted by Zach Franklin and Dylan Bults.
COMMUNITY 4 BETHEL 0
A closely-fought battle wasn’t decided until the final period. After remaining scoreless for the first two periods, Community exploded for all four goals in the third. Gerald Martin opened the scoring, followed by Graham Wideman, Tony Martin and Delmer Frey. Two of the goals were assisted by Kyle Wideman. Single assists were earned by Kevin Gingrich and Gerald Martin.
Chris Stevens faced 21 shots in his shutout victory.
