MAPLETON – For the first time, the Drayton/Mapleton Agricultural Society will have a Junior Ambassador for the upcoming year.
There are five participants who will vie for the title during a competition on Aug. 6 at the Drayton Ag Hall at 49 Elm St.
Speeches will begin at 6:30pm and the first Drayton/Mapleton Agricultural Society will be crowned that night.
The ambassador will be present throughout the Drayton Fair weekend, Aug. 9 to 11.
There will not be a senior ambassador this year, but the society has plans to expand the program in the future.
