Ontario is home to over 150 species of Odonata (dragonflies and damselflies), many of which are common in the Guelph area.
The Arboretum’s workshop on July 11 from 9am to 4pm will help participants learn more about these attractive insects.
Most species can be identified with a field guide and pair of binoculars. Learn about these beautiful creatures, their fascinating lives and see why they are an important part of our local ecosystems.
Participants should be prepared for the weather of the day as we spend time outside catching and identifying the dragonflies of The Arboretum.
Naturalist, Chris Earley will lead this workshop at The Arboretum.
The early bird registration fee is $75 plus HST and the registration deadline is July 3.
The fee after July 4 is $85 plus HST. Registration is on-line at: uoguelph.ca/arboretum.
