Get a “Sneak MacPeek” at the Fergus Scottish Festival in downtown Fergus from Aug. 6 to 8.
The music and entertainment event is coordinated with parade volunteers and the entertainment committee of the Fergus Scottish Festival.
Thursday, Aug. 6
The Pipes, Plaid and Pageantry Parade takes place from 7:30 to 8:30pm.
There will also be live Celtic music downtown at the following establishments:
– Breadalbane Inn, Janice Howie and Nick Gush, 5 to 7:30pm;
– Brewhouse on The Grand, Tom Leadbeater (with special guests Scooter Muse and Jill Chambless, Ron Leadbeater), 8 to 11pm;
– O’Brien’s Tap House, David Leask , 8 to 11pm;
– Goofie Newfie, Steel City Rovers, 9pm to midnight; and
– Fergus Legion, The Shananigans, 8 to 11pm.
Friday, Aug. 7
The Friday schedule will include wandering pipers and drummers from 12 to 4pm; and the Blue Bonnet Lassies highland dancers at the Fergus library from 11:30am to 1:30pm.
Historical walking tours start at the library at 11am and 2pm; and a live Celtic jam at the Brewhouse on the Grand from 4 to 7pm.
Saturday Aug. 8
A historical walking tour returns to the Fergus Library at 11am.
That evening at 8pm Tommy Leadbeater and Friends perform at the Fergus Grand Theatre.
