Organizers are seeking people and buildings for the 2012 Doors Open Fergus-Elora event for next summer.
On June 23, residents and visitors will again have the opportunity to explore the many “doors opened” during the annual celebration of heritage, architecture, parks and culture.
Fergus Elora Tourism officials are excited about the sites that wish to participate again and, as always, they are looking for new ones to add to the event.
Anyone with a heritage building, be it a business or family home, or maybe a unique concept that visitors may find interesting, are welcome to volunteer their sites for the one day event.
The next couple of weeks will be spent investigating new sites that needed to keep visitors returning and interest high.
The event is a way to bring new visitors to the community and share with them the rich history and culture of the township’s beauty.
