The Blessings Thrift and Gift Store in Palmerston recently donated $6,000 to the Children’s Foundation for the Food and Friends programs at Palmerston Public School, Minto-Clifford Public School and Norwell District Secondary School. Another $6,000 was donated to the foundation’s Free to Grow Program. In addition to recreation, the program is expanding to include life-skill development activities including babysitting courses, driver training, lifeguard classes and tutoring.
