HARRISTON – An exhibition by Dixi le Roux is set to open Feb. 6 at the Minto Arts Gallery.
Gallery officials state le Roux is a self taught artist who was born into an artistic family.
“It is only after retirement that she has had the time and freedom to fulfill her lifelong passion for art,” states a release from the Minto Arts Council.
“Working with established artists either through lessons or workshops, she picked up valuable tips on methods, mediums, etc. She works mainly with acrylics using brushes, rollers and palette knives.”
Previously le Roux has participated in solo and shared shows, juried shows, and was also part of the New Hamburg Art Tour and participated in Art in the Park, Stratford.
The exhibit, entitled The Gates are OPEN, kicks off on Feb. 6 with an artist’s reception from 6:30 to 8pm at the gallery and runs until Feb. 29.
