FERGUS – The old Groves Memorial Community Hospital on Union Street in Fergus is in the midst of demolition, which should be completed by the end of summer or early fall, according to hospital president and CEO Angela Stanley. In terms of next steps, “we continue to work with the Ministry of Health on the sale of the property,” she said.
All that remained, on July 17, were piles of rubble, parts of the old foundation, and the old chimney stack. This shot was taken through security fencing on Queen Street.
