A cyclist died earlier this week after being hit by a vehicle.
On March 27 at about 6:30am, emergency crews responded to the collision on Wellington Road 7 between Wellington Road 51 and 8th Line, north of Guelph.
Wellington County OPP officials say the cyclist, an adult male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity was initially withheld pending notification of his next of kin. The driver of the vehicle that struck the cyclist remained at scene, police say.
The OPP is asking anyone who may have been travelling south on Wellington Road 7 at around 6:30am to call 1-888-310-1122.
