Hurry hard – On March 3 and 4, the Centre Wellington District High School boys curling team travelled to Port Elgin to compete at the 2020 Central Western Ontario Secondary Schools Association (CWOSSA) curling championship.
The five-member team consisted of, from left: vice Drew Adema, skip Curtis Green, lead Mitchell Green, lead Matthew Beaudoin and second Hunter Kuhlmann. The team went undefeated in all five games to bring home the gold medals and trophy.
The CWOSSA boys curling trophy was last won by Centre Wellington District High School in 1988. The team now moves on to the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSSA) provincial curling championships later in March. The event is being hosted in the Durham region.
