CWCF coordinator hired

The Centre Wellington Community Foundation (CWCF) is excited to announce the hiring of J. Raymond Soucy as its first coordinator.

“Raymond’s new role is a pivotal one as the foundation continues to grow and transitions from an all-volunteer approach to one that combines staff with volunteer efforts,” stated Randall Howard, CWCF Chair.

Soucy’s primary mandate is to continue the important work of the very successful Vital Signs report published in 2015.  During the summer, Soucy has been networking with local organizations and community leaders in anticipation toward convening Vital Conversations, the follow up to the CW Vital Signs 2015 report.

Soucy will focus on helping the CWCF continue to build and grow sustainably over the long term with development of new administrative systems, investigation of alternative funding models and increasing community outreach.

Soucy has spent the last 25 years in the computer industry in various senior management positions. Soucy has also been an active volunteer with several organizations as board chair, trustee and as a “do anything that needs to be done” volunteer over the past many years.

“I find it both highly motivating and personally rewarding to have a position that has such a direct impact on the community I live in,”, said Soucy, adding he is eager to hear from members of the community.
