Culture matters; make it a priority Sept. 30 to Oct. 2

Centre Wellington along with the entire country will celebrate culture through Culture Days festivities from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2.

Local culture contributes heavily to the vibrant community and Centre Wellington is once again a part of the celebrations.

“This is our 5th year celebrating local culture,” said Elizabeth Bender, community development coordinator.  “We are extremely lucky to have such a rich cultural community and it deserves to be celebrated.  All of our events are free and it is truly an incredible way to discover something new, and unique while connecting and interacting with our cultural community. You definitely want to pick up your passport and plan your weekend.”

Events and activities will take place across the community and this year’s passport will highlight and showcase many of our cultural groups, individuals, spaces and activities.  The concept behind the culture passport is simple:

– pick up a passport

– visit your favourite locations and events

– enjoy what you see, hear and do

– ensure to have your passport stamped, those who collect four or more stamps can enter your passport for a chance to win a prize.

PasSports are available now. Passport details and the ability to print your own pasSports can be found at cen trewellington.ca/passport or they can be picked up in person at the Elora Tourist and Information Centre, Centre Wellington Sportsplex and Chamber of Commerce or at any of the passport locations on Culture Days weekend.
