HOWICK – Due to the overwhelming response to the Huron County Road Tour on July 26, the Huron County Cruisers are planning another for Sept. 13. The event will start at 1:30pm at the Howick Community Centre at 45088 Harriston Road.
The July tour provided the perfect setting for owners to showcase their restored classics. For the September run, the Cruisers have altered the route through Howick Township slightly. The procession would turn east out of the parking lot and head to the Howick-Minto Townline towards Clifford. At the stop sign at Minto Street, the procession will turn left and head out on the Lakelet Road, turn on the road to Wingham, turn towards the McIntosh Church and head to Belmore. They will tour through Wroxeter, Gorrie, Fordwich, and return to the starting point. Maps will be provided for participants.
Organizers are anticipating a parade of over 300 new and classic cars and trucks, motorcycles and dune buggies, a tribute to Smokey and the Bandit, and possibly some antique tractors.
