The results for the District 10 cross country meet held at the Sportsplex Oct. 16 are as follows.
CWDHS won two divisions – senior girls and midget boys.
Members of the senior girls team are Jessica Cuabu (3rd), Christina Dolderman (5th), Rebecca Pronk (8th) and Samara Workman (9th) and Hayley Chase. Steph Goodyear was the sixth runner and finished very strongly.
Midget boys results are as follows: Eric Morris (1st), Tyler Young (2nd) and Jake Cousineau (4th). Ryan Thring and Bryce Katerberg also participated and are new to the team.
Junior girls had a team comprised of two junior and two midget girls. Because there were only four runners, they came in second behind Lourdes who had five runners.
Team members were Elizabeth Teasell, (1st), Esmee Hotson, Laura Hill and Cecilie Proctor.
In the Midget girls Anna Katerberg ran well and will move up to junior girls for CWOSSA next week to round out the junior girls team.
Nate Scott was the highest scoring senior boy, finishing eighth. Nick Vrins ran a solid race. Two of the senior boys did not compete as they were participating in other activities. CWDHS will have a full team at CWOSS with Vrins and Scott, along with Mark Patton, Lorenzo Definis, and Drew Wilson.
The teams are looking forward to CWOSSA Oct. 23 and hope to make it to OFSAA on Nov. 1.
