GUELPH – To combat identity theft, Crimestoppers Guelph Wellington has teamed up with a secure mobile shredding service that allows community members to bring their personal papers for shredding right on site.
This will be the fourth year the organization has partnered with Wasteco to hold a one-day shredding event in Guelph.
“We appreciate the wonderful support from Skyjack who allows us use of its facilities to hold this event and for their continued sponsorship so that we can bring this opportunity to you,” organizers state.
The event runs from 9am to 1pm (or until truck capacty is reached) on Sept. 24 at the Skyjack location at 201 Woodlawn Rd. W. in Guelph.
It will be a drive-through operation; cost is $5 per banker’s box size of papers. Only paper documents will be accepted although staples and small paperclips do not have to be removed.
Cash, credit and debit are accepted.
