Students in Wellington and the Guelph are invited to take an interest in crime prevention by designing the new Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington Student Program poster.
Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Guelph Wellington, the student poster contest is open to City of Guelph and County of Wellington students in Grades 6 to 12. The contest aims to develop a poster for the school community that will spread the word of Crime Stoppers’ anonymous, confidential crime reporting process.
The winning entry, which will be announced at the end of January, will receive $500 cash, and a $25 gift certificate for Wyndham Art Supply of Guelph. The announcement will wrap up Crime Stoppers Month.
“Students and youth are significant members of our community,” said program coordinator Sarah Bowers-Peter.
Students interested in participating can print off contest details located on the Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington website at www.csgw.tips or check in with their school resource officer.
