On Dec. 25, Wellington County OPP responded to a theft complaint from Bell Canada. It was reported that two Honda EM5000 generators were stolen from two separate remote sites sometime between Dec. 24 at 8:30pm and Dec. 25 at 12:30pm.
One theft was on Concession 1 and the other was on Wellington Road 32, Puslinch Township. The generators were being utilized to power telephone lines while hydro was off in the area due to the ice storm. Each generator has Bell Canada written on it and is red in colour.
