WELLINGTON COUNTY – County residents can apply for post secondary education scholarships and bursaries.
The Wellington County scholarship-bursary program has a deadline of Aug. 31.
It is for students entering their first year of college or university.
They must have a proven record of community involvement and a graduating average of at least 75%.

The county also manages the Luella Logan Scholarship, which has a deadline of Sept. 30.
It was set up with a donation from Robert Logan, to encourage young women in politics.
It is in recognition of his wife, Luella “Lou” Logan, who became the first female member of Wellington County council in 1973.
