County libraries host Culture Days programs

Fall is a perfect time for us to get to know our community better through local activities and extracurriculars.

Culture Days is an annual national celebration of arts, culture, and creativity that highlights the importance of arts and culture by encouraging the public to take part in hands-on activities exploring spectacular experiences and hidden gems in our communities.

Explore the various Culture Days programs happening at your local branch from Sept. 20 to Oct. 12, including interactive tourism maps and a search for local treasures.

And check out more library programming happening throughout September at wellington.ca/LibraryCalendar.

As the weather grows colder, curling up with a good book sounds enticing but finding a title that matches your mood can be daunting. Embrace that crisp chill in the air and the changing of the leaves with a selection of creepy and cozy reads.

Here is a list of adult fiction books to get you in the mood for Autumn:

Haunted Ever After by Jen DeLuca;

The Pumpkin Spice Café by Laurie Gilmore;

Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman;

Autumn by Ali Smith;

Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia;

The September House by Carissa Orlando

If you’re still looking for your next great read and you don’t know where to start, ask staff for a recommendation or browse our collection online at wellington.ca/Catalogue. You can find reading lists and search for titles to fit any mood.
