Ten local students will be receiving educational scholarships and bursaries from the County of Wellington, based on academic achievement, community involvement or financial need.
County council, at its Oct. 27 meeting, awarded several local students with $500 bursaries and scholarships to use toward their post secondary school expenses.
Receiving scholarships were Kaylyn Hetherington – Norwell District Secondary School, Rachel McGuire – Wellington Heights Secondary School, Keary Rodgers – Erin District High School, Nicole Feenstra – Woodlawn Christian High School, Andrew McGratton – St. James Catholic High School, Brodie Sobara – formerly of College Heights Secondary School, Kayla Richter – formerly of Centennial Collegiate Vocational Institute, Kristina Asha Banks – Centre Wellington District High School, Vincent Talbot – Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic High School, and Kyle Rodd – John F. Ross Collegiate Vocational Institute.
Any County of Wellington student currently enrolled in post secondary education within Canada, is eligible to apply for a County of Wellington bursary or scholarship. Application forms are available at www.wellington.ca.
