At the behest of Warden John Green, county council kept its closed meeting on March 27 much shorter than usual.
Over the past several months, council has held lengthy closed sessions, several lasting well over two hours.
But when council went into committee of the whole this time to consider reports, a closed session was near the top of the list.
But Green warned councillors that “We have people in the audience who deserve respect.”
Consequently, he said, “I may get mean in the closed session if people get redundant.”
The warden’s warning appeared to work, with a closed session that lasted just over an hour.
