Police are warning businesses here and in the surrounding area about possible counterfeit American currency.
Guelph Police officials say there have been recent reports of counterfeit U.S. currency in the form of $20 and $50 denominations being passed in the Aberfoyle area.
“Individuals have used these bills to make purchases, receiving Canadian funds in return,” police said in a recent press release.
