Council approves large variance to sign bylaw for new facility

When it comes to the signage of Mammoet Canada Eastern on McLean Road in Puslinch, Zehr Levesique is going big.

In correspondence to Puslinch Township council dated Oct. 24, Joseph Rodrigues, of Zehr Levesque asked for variances to the township sign bylaw.

Signage on the building itself (including logo) would be almost 75 feet long and over 10 feet tall.

A stand-alone illuminated pylon would be 10 feet wide and over 28 feet tall.

The correspondence was received and council intends to pass the variance to allow Mammoet to install the wall sign of greater than 9 square metres  to a maximum of 73 square metres and a pylon sign greater than 26.5 square metres.

Further, the bylaw would allow the pylon sign with a front yard setback of only 5 metres. The move was approved with no discussion by council on Nov. 6.
