The chance to set sail for Songs of the Sea on March 1 is coming to the River Run Centre.
The Guelph Concert Band under the direction of Henry Janzen, with Bonnie McDougall as narrator, and two sets of special guests will provide music for all ages.
The band will perform music from the movie Titanic as well as Sailing Songs, What Shall We Do With the Drunken Sailor?, Parade of the Tall Ships, Admirals All, and Victory at Sea.
Cerberus (Alan Stellings on cello, Megan Jones on violin, and Henry Janzen on viola) will join the band for jazz works arranged for strings with concert band by Alan Stellings, one of Canada’s best known music arrangers.
The Guelph Concert Band’s Instrument Petting Zoo will be available for all at intermission.
Tickets for the 3pm concert can be purchased at the River Run Centre box office at $20 for adults; $15 students and seniors; and $5 for 13 and under.
